·       writing part – 4 exercises (use of random variable, CLT, one or two sample tests, ANOVA or regression). Parametric tests must be written in Excel, other in Statistica. It is permitted to bring any material for writing part.

 

 

Writing part

50 – 64 % - continue to oral part with +1 disadvantage to the final mark.

65 – 79 % - continue to oral part. 

80 – 100 % - continue to oral part with -1 advantage to the final mark. Oral part must be passed.

  1. Probability theory – distribution of random variable, expectation, variance, independence.
  2. Processing of statistical material, histogram and its relationship to random variable (density, distribution function of random sample)
  3. Characteristics of location and variance and its relationship to random variable (expectation, variance)
  4. Random sample, Poisson, geometrical, uniform, exponential distribution
  5. Point estimate, confidence intervals
  6. Distribution: normal, t, chi2, F and its quintiles.
  7. Parametrical tests with assumption of normality
  8. Tests with use of CLT
  9. non parametrical tests
  10. Anova – one way, two ways
  11. Nonparametric versions of ANOVA - Friedman test versus Kruskal - Wallis test
  12. Linear regression with one explanatory variable, linearizable models
  13. Linear regression with more explanatory variable
  14. Polynomial regression, how to check the degree of explanatory polynomial
  15. Dependence, correlation coefficient and tests about it.
  16. Test chi2, testing normality.
  17. Contingency tables.
